I’m a little…upset???

Yeah. So. I recently started reading the Zodiac Academy series. Yeah. I know. I’m far behind the rest of humans, but hear me out.

I’ve wandered across SO MANY people on BookTok talking about how “spicy” this series is. Okay well. I’m on book 5 now and…um…no. It’s not a 9/10 spicy. It’s a 4/10 spicy.

Just so we’re clear about how I rate spiciness, let’s start here. I need to “hear” skin slapping. I need to “hear” the things that are said in the dark. I need to “feel” nails scratching, teeth biting, feral things happening that can’t be controlled. I ALSO need to know that things that SHOULDN’T be happening…do…IN FACT happen.

Maybe we’re talking dub-con. Maybe we’re talking harems. Who knows. But don’t come at me with a spice level of 5/5 when “fade to black” is in the book.
